Learning Through Play

Room 1's daily timetable is structured around Play Based Learning and meeting the needs of every student. This is a great transition to school from Early Childhood Education. It enables children to explore, discover, thrive and learn in a way that works for the individual student. Yes students still learn how to read, write and do math but a Play Based Environment caters more for the individuals readiness to learn. Whaea Mara and Whaea Claire call students from play to work with them either 1-1 or in small groups.
