A day in the life of a CAS Student
Ask a child what they learnt today at school, and they may just say 'nothing'. Ask a child how school was today, and they may just say 'good'. Always dig a little deeper because take a look at some of the fantastic learning opportunities that happened throughout one day of learning at CAS during Term One 2020.
- Making hokey pokey in Year 10 Science (& eating it)- Building a new vege garden outside the Library- Designing & making & testing boomerangs in Y7 Technology- Physical activity in the pool with Y5/6- Making Caesar Salad in Hospitality with Y11-13- Sea Kayaking in our new kayaks (pictures to come) -Y11-13- Getting books from the Library for weekend reading with R1- Playing dress-up in Rm 2- Learning Maths in Rm 2- Playing Ki-o-rahi for Maori Studies with Y8- Learning basketball through Kiwi Hoops with Dave in Y3/4- Getting tokens for being so prepared for learning in Rm 1 (great stuff young Ryan)- Playing heads down thumbs up in Rm 1, and- Creating mythical creatures in Y9 Social Studies
